Match Fixtures and Format
The tournament format is fairly simple to understand. The world cup will be played between 10 teams out of which 8 are already qualified and the remaining 2 will be confirmed via a qualification round. Qualifiers are being held in Zimbabwe amongst 10 teams spilt into two groups. Group A include host Zimbabwe, Netherlands, West Indies, Nepal and United States. Group B include Sri Lanka, Scotland, Oman, Ireland and United Arab Emirates. Three teams from each group will qualify to play in a super sixes format. From this format, 2 teams Sri Lanka and the Netherlands have qualified for the main world cup.
In the main draw each team will play the other nine in a round robin format with the top four qualifying for the knockout stage and semi-finals. The two winners of the semifinals will advance to the grand final on 19th November at Narendra Modi Stadium.
